Hi! My name is Sae. I'll Introduce myself to you.There are four people in my family. It is my father, mother, and elder sister. I love my family. I have two dogs and one cat. But I am allergic to the dog and the cat. However, they are very cute. I love them. My favorite things are watching movies, listening to music, sushi and Italy. Hi! My name is Fumie. I'm a Mukogawa university student from Japan. I'm 19 years old. I live in Kobe. Kobe is a fashionable city, so I love it :-)

My hobbies are talking with my friends, going shopping, playing volleyball, dancing, eating, and sleeping. I went to Northtown and Downtown in Spokane. 　It was very exciting because they are big shopping malls. In Japan, I often go shopping with my older sister. I'm so happy because she knows many fashionable places.

My favorite food is pasta. I sometimes want to eat Japanese foods, and I deeply appreciate my mother. She is good at cooking. One day, I said to my friends, "I want to eat sushi". I was born in Kobe Japan and I am living in Kobe now. I want to live there forever. There are four people in my family, my father, mother, older brother, and me. My father is Toshikazu, and he works as a fireman. Therefore, he was not home very much during the big Hanshin and Awaji earthquake. I missed him, but I was very proud of him. My mother is Kimiko. She was a kindergarten teacher, but now she works as an office worker. She recently became a regular employee and now is tired everyday, therefore I sometimes have to cook dinner. My older brother is Koichi. He is a physical therapist. This is his first year for starting his new job. The hospital he works at is near my grandmother's house. So he stays there during the week days. Next, my hobbies are dancing, listening music, and cooking. I love dancing and I am in a baton and cheering club at MWU. I practiced very hard before coming to MFWI and after leaving here I will continue to practice. Also I often listen to music. My favorite artist is Maroon5. Do you know them? The kind of dance I like is Hip-Hop. I also like listening to music, and my favorite artist is EXILE , Miria Kato and Ne-yo. Do you know EXILE and Miria Kato? They are famous singers in Japan. Ne-yo is famous singer in America. They have verynice voices!! I like them. I also like sports. Especialy, basket ball. I was in the basket ball club when I was junior high scool. Hi! I’m Kathy.

 Once upon a time (about a half century ago) in Springfield, Ohio, I was born into the world to parents who really wanted a little girl after having three boys.  After that there was another sister and another brother - 6 kids!  When I was growing up, my family had almost enough people to make a whole baseball team!  We all loved baseball and we all loved being one big happy family!

When I was 18, my family moved from Ohio to Kansas.  I went to Kansas State University and got my undergraduate degree in Physical Education there.  I spent many years being a homemaker and a P.E. teacher, but recently I stopped teaching P.E. and am teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) now.  I am also a graduate student at Gonzaga University where I study Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).  I enjoy studying and learning very much!  I hope you do too!

My husband Ron is also a teacher at MFWI.  He has taught here for almost 19 years!  We live on the MFWI campus where we have raised our three very enjoyable kids all these years.  Matt, age 21, is a junior at Montana State University. Andrew, age 19, is a senior in high school.  Jessica is 17 and also a senior in high school.

I first started teaching English 25 years ago in Tokyo, Japan (where I first met Ron)!  We lived in Japan two more times and had wonderful experiences and adventures there, especially when our three children went to the local Japanese schools!  Our family likes to travel together, take hikes, talk, laugh, and have fun together.

I love adventure!  I think that is why I like sports and teaching so much.  Both are always an adventure and I look forward to the adventure of teaching you and learning with you this semester.  Welcome to MFWI!  I am glad you’re here and I hope you enjoy your experience!

Hi! I'm Bridget

Hi! My name is Bridget. I was born in Spokane, Washington a LONG time ago! There are six kids in my family. I’m the fourth. I have a really, really big extended family. I have 54 first cousins! Can you believe it?

I graduated from Gonzaga University with a B.A. in French Literature. I also have an M.A. from the University of Sheffield in International Politics. Right now I'm working on my second M.A. at Gonzaga University and sometimes I teach there.

I have lived and traveled in many different countries including Ireland, England, France, Spain, and Japan. I have been teaching English for almost 20 years! Wow! My first English teaching job was in Kumamoto, Kyushu where I worked for an ‘eikaiwa’. Do you want to know which one?

My husband, James, is also an English teacher. He teaches English as a Second Language at Gonzaga University. He’s also a musician! He plays flutes and whistles and the uillean pipes for a band called Celtic Nots. Celtic music means it comes from Ireland, England, or Brittany.

We have three great kids. Ceilan (pronounced ‘keelin’) is a senior at Lewis and Clark high school. Zeke is a sophomore at the same school, Lewis and Clark. Fionn (pronounced ‘fin’) is in the 7th grade at Sacajawea Junior High School. In 2000, I worked at MWU in Japan. That was soooooo fun! The kids went to school in Japan and they learned to speak a little bit of Japanese when we lived there for two years.
