My Favorite Restaurant

I went to delicious Olive Garden. It was a first time to go to an American restaurant. I thought American restaurants are all fast food restaurants, but Olive Garden is very healthy food like Japanese restaurants. When I went that restaurant, I ate salad, soup, some breads, and pasta. There were a lot of fresh vegetables. First, the food is great. I ate a lot of vegetables, and very good garlic bread. I think eating vegetables before is good way about my body. Second, Olive Garden is nice service because every clerk were very kind, pretty smile, and considerate. When I saw a menu, I couldn’t understand, so I asked my clerk. The clerk answered my every question. She also asked me a second helping, so I could a second helping without constraint. Third, Olive Garden was very elegant and cleans in the room. There were many tables and chairs, and these were very big, so I could eat quite. I would like to visit again.

Restaurant Visit

My favorite restaurant in America is Moxie. I went to Moxie during conversation class with my freinds. First, the food in Moxie was delicious and not expensive. I ordered a spaghette likeYakisoba. A waitress brought some bread to us while we were waiting for the main dish, it was like fresh-baked bread and all of the food was arranged very nice, so I was surprised. Second, this restaurant were Japanese mood because Japanese picture were painted on the wall, It was wave in the ocean.and this restaurant were very good atmosphere because there were dark light and calm music so we could relax. Finally, the service was great. There were chopsticks for us and the waitress was very kind and smiley. She often asked us if we did't have any problems, and when I drunk all the water, she noticed it quickly, and put on the water and she changed my food because it tasted too spicy for me to eat. She changed my food to less spicy food for free before I say it to her, so I could eat the food. I appreciated her kindness. The waiteress in America were kinder than I expected. Moxie is very good restaurant because there were very kind waitress ,deicious food , and good Japanese atomosphere. I want to go Moxie again.

My Restaurant Visit!

Palm Court is a restaurant like a palace. I have never visited the restaurant like that, so I could have a wonderful time there. First, Palm Court is a place with good atmosphere. All furniture is very magnificent, and there is a fountain in the center of the restaurant. Also, the large space is prepared just in case for the customers have to wait there. Second, there are many great clerks in this restaurant, so in the front door of Palm Court, some clerks are there to open the door for you. They are not only handsome but so gentle. They felt like princes to me. If you have no boyfriends, you should go to this restaurant because almost of clerks are a little young and very kind and so calm. I think they are ideal men for women. Perhaps, your new love will start there for meeting a nice guy. Third, all of the dishes that this restaurant serves are very expensive and look delicious; actually the dishes I ate were so good. I ate a dish of prawn and some pieces of bread and the salad with Caesar dressing. The bread was free, but it was baked a short time ago, so it was very soft and great. I haven’t ever eaten such the bread lately, I felt like crying because I was happy to eat it. I want to eat many pieces of bread again fully to my heart’s content. Finally, after I visited there, I think this restaurant is the most luxurious restaurant in Spokane. If you want to experience feeling of a princess or have a new boyfriend, you should visit there. I really recommend it!

MOXIE is the Best!!!

I recommend you go to MOXIE downtown. There are some good points about this restaurant. First, It is an Asian food restaurant. For example, they serve "Miso-soup", and the food is so delicious. I ate grilled steak. My friends and I paid about 10 dollars. It isn't very expensive. Most food is resonably priced, so we can eat without worrying. Second, the atmospher in the restaurant is very good. There are Japanese pictures on the wall. The Lighting for the room is dim, so it made us relax. We can feel as if we are in Japan. Finally, the waitress is so kind. She helped us to have a good time. She often asked us whether our food was good. I think that MOXIE is the best restaurant to have nice lunch.

The Best Place: Safari Room

I had a grate time in Safari room. The elegant and dark atmosphere was very good. This is safari style. For example, there are animal patterns (zebra, leopard) on the walls and sofa, and the uniform was animal pattern. Second, the restaurant’s food was American food which is pizza, hamburger, and pasta. I ate a cheeseburger and French fries which were very delicious and big portions, so I couldn’t eat them in all. Finally, the staff was very kind and very friendly because when I puzzled them to choose food, they explained about the food and recommended some food to me, so I like the restaurant. I want to go Safari Room again. I really recommend the Safari Room.

Let's Go to Olive Garden!!

Olive Garden is one of the most popular restaurants in Spokane for young people to eat lunch and dinner. First, Olive Garden service is very good. As soon as I have drunk the water, then they pour more water. When we ordered one tiramisu, the waitress brought two plates, so we could share. It’s wonderful service. Second, there are a lot of choices on the menu. If you order pizza, you can choose the toppings on the pizza. They have like a set, so we can eat soup or salad and bread. It is very cute and clean. It is warm and sociable, so I could really relax. Its atmosphere was very good too, so I recommend going there on a date!! Finally, every food is so good! I haven’t thought that minestrone is good ever, but I feel it delicious at first time!! I come to love minestrone!!! Pizza was very soft. It was very good. If you have a chance to go there, please try it! I love olive garden!!!!!

My Favorite Restaurant

I found my favorite restaurant in America. I went to Olive Garden in extracurricular actives with my friend Airi. I was looking forward to going there because my RA recommended it to me. I had a great time there. First, the restaurant is a place with a comfortable atmosphere. All the furniture was so elegant and cute, and a chandelier was suspended from the ceiling. I would like to recommend this restaurant to couples because it produces a romantic atmosphere all the time! If I had a nice boyfriend, I would take him there. Second, every food was so delicious. I have never eaten such delicious food. I ate pizza, bread, salad, soup, and pasta. I could eat bread and salad as much as I can for free at the restaurant. I was very surprised that. I enjoyed a feeling of fullness after eating. This restaurant gave me feeling of satisfaction, but it was inexpensive. The price was reasonable, so I was happy. Finally, wait staffs were so kind and smiled all the time. They made me feel comfortable, so I could speak to them. I have mistaken a drink order. When they brought me a drink that I didn’t give an order, I was very upset. However, they apologized to me immediately, and they soon brought me right drink which I had ordered order. I was impressed with their behavior. I was very happy because I met such nice wait stuffs in America She was concerned about us many times. She answered our questions, explained menu and courses and spoke English more slowly and clearly. I think we wouldn’t have had such a great experience without her. I appreciated her kindness. Thanks to this restaurant, I like America more and more. Olive Garden has a comfortable atmosphere, special delicious food and great wait staffs. I recommend this restaurant strongly. If you are wondering which restaurant choose, you should go to Olive garden!!

Europe Pizzeria!!

Europe Pizzeria is a very delicious Italian restaurant. First, this restaurant has a lot of kinds of pizza and pasta. These foods were made by hand. Chef recommended the lasagna because it is the specialty of the house. This lasagna put original sauce on the other. It tastes good! Second, you can choose all your favorite ingredients. For example, there is cheese, sauce, and other ingredients like spice and a size, so you can eat a unique pizza that you have created yourself. It is very interesting. Third, an atmosphere of this restaurant is very comfortable, western-style, and dim. Music is very good in this restaurant! Next, there are different chairs which are benches, stools and sofas, but the color of these chairs is same. These chairs are very fluffy chairs. You can choose your favorite chair, so I can relax. Finally, this restaurant was good service. The waiter takes care of us all of the time, and the waiter’s service was very kind; he kept smiling while I was ordering. I felt very happy. I think that it is an important thing because “the customer is always right.” I recommend this restaurant! You should go there!! It will be a good memory for you!

Let's Go To Safari Room!

Safari Room is one of my most fashionable restaurants downtown. First, I love the atmosphere. There are some animal ornaments there: tigers, elephants, rhinoceroses, and so on. There are chairs upholstered in panther fabric. I felt as if I were in a safari park, so I was very excited! Second, a pizza and hamburger were very delicious! The pizza tasted like tomatoes, and it was soft. I had never seen a rectangular pizza, so it was so funny. The hamburger was big, so I was soon full, but I ate a cheesecake and a pudding too. I absolutely recommend them because they were not too sweet and they were yummy! They were small and so cute! I feel happy whenever I eat something so good. Finally, I like the waitresses because they were aware of everything. When I wanted some water, they came to our table soon! They were very kind. When I asked to one of them, “Can I take a picture with you?” she said,” Sure!” I felt they were pleasant waitresses. I want to go there again because they greeted us with a smile.

Moxie is a favorite restaurant I visited on the conversation class with my friends in Downtown!! There are many great things in Moxie, it satisfy me very much on a food, an atmosphere, and a service. First, you can see a beautiful picture on the wall of a Japanese picture so; it is “Fuji” the mountain; it’s the highest mountain in Japan, and a dangerous wave; it looks like the painting which was written by Katsushika Hokusai who is one of the most famous artists in the Edo period. I guess that it’s beautiful and exciting for Americans because a lot of Americans are interested in a Japanese culture. Second, you can relax in this restaurant because Moxie is a little dim, but it’s comfortable for you if you will go to Moxie, so I like it very much. I have another reason, so it’s a great music. The music is slow tempo, so you can eat delicious dishes while relaxing. Next, you can eat very, very delicious dishes in this restaurant, and there are a lot of choices. I ate a sandwich in this restaurant, which a steak is put between bread and the very delicious sauce is put on the food, so it was very nice. Finally, the service is most unforgettable memory, but there was a problem when I visited there. We each ordered a dish. My friend ordered the Yakisoba which is Japanese food; it was more spicy taste than she imaged, so she couldn’t eat it. She couldn’t ask the waitress to change the dish, but the waitress eventually noticed her and changed the dish without being asked. I think that Moxie is a nice restaurant because of the good service. I hope to go again. You had better go to Moxie, too.

Delicious!!

I found a great restaurant! Olive Garden is the most popular restaurant in Spokane. I visited there last month. I want to recommend the restaurant for you. First, there was alive with customers but it was very calm restaurant, so I could relax. Second, foods are so delicious and big. I ate soup and pizza. I chose pizza’s toppings black olive, tomato and sausage. The waiter said that it was medium size, but I thought it was large size. I bought a chocolate cake; it was larger than my imagination. Finally, the waiter was so kind. She spoke us some times. I couldn’t eat a pizza all, and then she put it in the box. I took it out. This restaurant is great, food, mood and service. The restaurent can't be matched for these. You should go there. I want to go there again.

Movie Theater

Today, I went downtown to watch a movie with my friends. First, we were planning to go to North town, but we missed the bus to Northtown so we changed our plan. We saw many people wearing a yukata. They were MFWI students. I heard that they were planning to dance the Bon dance downtown. They were very cute! When we arrived downtown, we had free time until the movie started, so we shopped. I bought two T-shirts. They weren't expensive but cute. I watched a movie in this afternoon with my friends. The title is "17 again." This was a story about a man who has returned to the age of 17. It was a very exciting and impressive story so everyone said, "I want to watch this movie again." "I want to buy this DVD." I'll watch this movie again when I return to Japan. I recommended this movie to everyone. I like watching a movie in movie theaters so I had a good time!

My Host Family

I went to my host families house this weekend. I had a great time with them. The most interesting thing was to go to party. They invited me to a party. I had never been to American party, so I was very nervous. I had a lot of delicious food until my stomach was full. I was so happy. I am afraid of putting on weight, but I couldn't help eating!! It was a my host children's cousin birthday party. I had never seen him, before I met him at his birthday party. I could'nt say him "congratulation on your birthday", because I am very shy. I don't like my character. It is very difficult for me to speak to people who I don't know. I hate myself for being timid. If I were active, I could make me grow up more and more. I felt regret for having been rude to him, so I decided to change myself more for the good. Now, I try to do it as much as I possibly I can. I think it was a good experience for me. I appreciate my host family. I would like to introduce my host family to you. There are seven people in my host family. The dad is very kind to everyone. He is good at playing the guitar. I listened to his performance. I was very impressed. When I was junior high school student, I played the guitar a little, so we talked about it. I could tell him everything I wanted to say, but he listened until I'm finished. His gentleness made me happy all the time . My host mom is a very nice person, and she is loved by everyone. She cooks very well. She cooked delicious pancakes for us. I have never eaten such delicious pancake. I would like to cook very well like her. Sometimes, she is strict with her children, but I think it is her love. If she didn't love her children, she wouldn't scold them. I love her very much. My host children are very cheerful. I learned many things from them, and they please me all the time. I am a very lucky girl because they are my host sisters and brothers. If I can be a extension student. I will be able to meet them more and more!! I think it is wonderfil to visit here again, so I am studying English very hard in order to be an extension student. My host family is like my family. I will never forget them. After I go back home. I will miss them very much. I found a new dream thanks to them. Someday. I would like to visit them again with higher English skills and suprise them by how changed I am.

The Smithsonian Institution

I went to the Smithsonian Institution. The Smithsonian Instution was many kinds of museum are there. I like the Smithsonian Institution because I like museums. First, I went to Air and Space museum. There were many models. It was so big. For example, airplane models, a spacesuit, and a spaceship are there. When I looked the models, I was impressed. I learned about space. I want to go to space. If I can go to space, i want to feel my body rise into the air for a moment. Second, I went to the Museum of Natural History. There were a lot of people. I threaded my way through the crowd. I was ery tired but It was ery fun. I ate lunch in Macdonalds. I choosed chiken nugget. It was delicious. Finally, I really enjoyed visiting in the Smithsonian Institution. I had a nice time. I want to go to the Smithsonian Institution again.

Dead or Alive...or Shopping

I went downtown with my friends. I wanted to buy a music score of classical music. First, we went to a book store which I visited for Reading class. It is a very big store but they didn't have any music scores, so I was disappointed. After that, we went to the shopping mall. We bought many souvenirs for our friends and we ate Chinese food there. Chinese food is popular in Japan. We ate ice cream. I like chocolate ice cream very much. If I go to Walmart, I want to buy ice cream. I have seen many earrings for sale in shops, so I want to have my ears pierced. I have a space on the Internet, Mixi. I used to write a diary in Japan but I don't write a diary at MFWI. Maybe my friends are worried about me and they may think I am dead! It means death that I don't write a diary in Mixi, because I often wrote diaries in Japan. I'll try to write it tomorrow. In my room, I can't use a computer because my room is too far from the network.

My East Coast Trip!

My group, TG3, took a trip to east coast from April 8th to 13th. I had a wonderful time! My favorite place is the White House and Air and Space Museum of Smithsonian. I went to the White House on April 12th. Fortunately, Obama was in the House, but naturally I could not see him. I am happy to see the White House with my eyes because I always watch it on T.V. Then our guide told us about Easter Day. She said Children who are between 8 and 12 can be in yard of the White House." When I heard that, I envied them. I really wanted to see Obama even once. According to her, children seem to race on Easter. It is a race that they carry an egg on a spoon. Next, we went to the Air and Space Museum. I think it is a really great museum. There are few museums like that in Japan. All Smithsonian museums are free. I can't believe it. I'm sure that Japanese museums take our money by all means because Japan has little money. In my opinion, Japanese representatives are not good. They always think of their property, and they do bad things, for example they play golf by the money the Japanese people paid for pension, and they are arrested, but I think Mr. Koizumi was the best president I have seen.

Covington!!

I live on the third floor of Covington. There are a lot of people in Covington. I make a lot of friends. I enjoyed every day with my friends, because they are very active and funny. My RA called us "stupid girls" because we are excited during every tutorial and every day. When I lived in Japan, I was not excited every day. I noticed how much I love Covington when I had homestay because there were no person who were my friends in my host family's house. I love my friends. I need a lot of friends and I am sad when I am alone. I can't live alone. In Japan, I live with my family. My group goes to Commons together for bleakfast and dinner every day. Other groups don't go together, but my group stays together every day. If there is free time on a weekend, we plan lots of things to do. For example, we will be playing tennis, and going downtown or North town. I enjoy doing something with my group members every day. There are many good points about Covington, but there are many problems, too. First, there is the problem of using the laundry. On the third floor, there are three groups. On other floors, there are only two groups. On the third floor we separate the day into three parts for using the laundry. We can use the laundry in the afternoons on Wednesday and in the morning on Saturday. We can't sleep until noon on Saturday, so I'm very sad. My group members are sometimes so tired because they can't sleep until noon, but getting early is good for our health. sleeping until late is a bad things because I couldn't eat breakfast if I wake up late. It's good for my life style. Finally, there is the problem of taking showers. Fifteen people in Covington use only three showers. At shower time, we are very busy.

A Birthday Party!

We had my friend's birthday party in our house. My friend turned 20 years old! She is very funny, so we are always laughing with her. The people who live in my house are very friendly.
First, we decided to make her a gift. I made a message card and a memorie book. We wrote about a lot of things that we had done together in our house. Next, my roommate and I went to the supermarket and bought a birthday cake and snacks. We decorated the cake when we arrived to our house. We made the cake very cute!! We were very excited because today's plan was a secret from our friend. We cooperated with each other to do it, and we wore interesting costumes. we looked like comedians, so it was very fun!! Then we waited for her after school. We shouted, "Happy Birthday!!" when she returned home. She was really surprised, so the birthday plan was a success, and we were very glad to see her smiling face, and we sang a song and danced in front of her. She was delighted, as were we all. We took a picture with her. We have made good memories together. I think that I am enjoying my study abroad because I have made important friends and have had a lot of good experiences. Finally, I feel happy that I can study in this good environment in Spokane, so I should study more and speak English every day!

Gonzaga University

Last week my conversation class and I went to Gonzaga University. While we were there, we made a group with four Gonzaga students. We talked about ourselves. I was the most interested in a Russian woman who lives in America now. I asked her why she moved here from Russia. She said "to find religious freedom." That was very interesting. "In Russia, we can't believe in God, but I want to believe in God, so I moved here to escape religous persecution", she said, so I asked her, "Don't you like Russia?" and then she said "Yes!" I wondered why she wanted to leave Russia!!, so I thought maybe she had wanted to escape religous persecution in Russia more than she loves Russia. We talked deeply!! I was glad to be able to have a deep talk with other foreigners!! Another thing that was surprised to me about this visit was that there were various generations of people who are students at Gonzaga University!! In Japan this is very rare, so I respect them. Some of them have six children!! It was amazing!! I was glad to experience the rare opportunity to communicate with people who are studying English as a second language. Today's conversation class is the best so far!! I want to go to Universities!!! By the way, there was a buffet!! I love this buffet style!!

I Had A Great Time At An Elementary School

I went to an elementary school last Friday. It was very fun. I had wanted to go an elementary school for a long time, so when I heard that I could go, I was very happy. I want to be an elementary school teacher, so I wanted to visit an elementary school in the U.S. First, when I went to the elementary school, I read some books for a six years old student. Her name is Oli. She is very cute. She and I read the books together. She was interested in the books, so I was relieved that she enjoyed the books. Second, We made a crane and a plane origami. she looks like a lot of fun! I was very happy that she liked the crane. Finally, I taught her Japanese numbers. She remembered it immediately, so I was surprised. I guess she is very smart. I had a very good time at the elementary school. When I left there, I was a little sad, but I'll always remember meeting her. I like her so much.
